For the third time, Mexican lawyer Óscar de la Vega was recognized in the Who´s Who Legal Awards, conducted in London, as Lawyer of the Year 2024, by Lexology’s Labour & Employment, that evaluates professionals and Law Firms in 75 jurisdictions. According to Data México, legal services contributed approximately 680,202 million pesos to the GDP as of the second quarter of 2024, which shows that this activity has consolidated itself this year as a value generator for the national economy.

A strong impact of tariffs on employment is expected
Ricardo Martínez, lawyer at the De la Vega & Martínez Firm, predicted that if tariffs last through the medium term, this would cause the closing of plants, particularly in the automotive sector.
