The reduction of the number of working hours is a world trend and Mexico is quickly moving in this direction and it should be established by 2030, but this is creating uncertainty because it entails a cost for companies given that the same amount of production must be completed in fewer hours and it has not been specified how this will be implemented in order not to have a negative impact on entrepreneurs. Currently Artificial Intelligence, which could displace workers, is being used; on the other hand we have this benefit for the workers, as WHO and ILO have made these recommendations, but tax incentives must be provided to entrepreneurs, as this will entail higher costs, said Héctor de la Cruz, Jesús Rodríguez and Hugo Carbajal in a roundtable discussion with Alberto García.
